While the Purple Cat has been busy this summer with site changes, new activities and events, fresh faces, and exciting new endeavors, the physical therapy students at Youngstown State University were taking time out to raise money for our clients. By means of a wine and chocolate auction held on campus, the PT students raised enough money to purchase a home gym and a bench press for our clients, along with some fun extras in the gym for recreational, but beneficial use.
In addition to this new equipment, the students have been visiting weekly, assisting those with mobility limitations with exercises suited for their specific needs. We can’t show enough gratitude for these students and the university for their time and effort put into making our clients feel special. Thank you YSU!!!
