Recently Purple Cat’s own Diane D visited Hawaii. She went with her mother, father, brother, sister and brother-in-law. They stayed in a beach house in the town of Princeville on the north shore of the island of Kauai. Diane had many fun times on this trip which included the Superbowl and Valentine’s Day, so I sat down with her and asked a few questions about her adventure.
Q: What was your favorite part about your trip?
A: I liked everything about Hawaii!! I loved tanning and taking long walks on the beach with my family. The pool was fun too.
Q: Tell me about some special things you did with your family members.
A: I liked going shopping with my mom at beach stores and the grocery store. I liked looking for seashells with my dad. I liked going on the computer with my brother and having my morning coffee with my sister.
Q: What was your favorite thing to eat in Hawaii?
A: I had all kinds of fish… salmon and fish tacos with chips. We had BBQ chicken too.
Q: You spent a few important dates in Hawaii. What did you do on Valentine’s Day and for the Superbowl?
A: I had some really good chicken and fries on Valentine’s Day, and then I had some beer and wine too! On Superbowl Sunday my dad made chili, and we had a football party!
Q: Did you see anything that was really cool?
A: We saw a giant sea turtle up on the beach, and my dad took a cool picture of it.
Q: What did you miss most about Ohio?
A: Jessica Beasley!
Diane concluded by saying she will miss tanning on the beach every day very much. She also cannot wait to go back next year!
