Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m originally from Youngstown, but I graduated from Austintown Fitch.
Q: How long have you worked for ISLE/Purple Cat?
A: This November marks my 5th year!
Q: What is your job here?
A: I was an art teacher for most of my time here, which I do still enjoy but now I love planning events (such as the carnival, parade floats, submitting artwork for the Canfield Fair, the plays of course and coming soon, the talent show!)
Q: What did you do before working here?
A: after graduating from YSU in 2007, I was a substitute teacher for all the schools in Mahoning County.
Q: What is your favorite candy?
A: anything chocolate
Q: What is your favorite holiday and why?
A: Halloween. I wish I was the “staff of the month” for October because I love it THAT much. I love dressing up and becoming something I’m not. I love to challenge my makeup skills. FUN FACT: I usually average 4 costumes each Halloween, and I have never been the same costume twice.
Q: Name one of your favorite songs and why.
A: I don’t have a favorite song, but I love anything with a keyboard or hand claps in it.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at the Purple Cat?
A: sleep in!!!
Q: If you could be any animal, what would it be?
A: nothing that flies, because I would get sick… and thing that swims, because I hate getting wet. Probably a Lynx although they are almost extinct. I think giant cats are amazing, fast and cute. I have always admired the Lynx for its giant paws and super cute ear hair.
Q: Who is your favorite Golden String Radio DJ?
A: Tim Johnson, because he plays 80’s music, which is my fav, and he always picks a song that I haven’t heard in so long and it brings back memories.
Q: What is your favorite event at the Purple Cat?
A: The Halloween Party, of course 🙂
Q: If you were a superhero, what would your name be? and what would your superpower be?
A: I would be called “Ameazing”, and I would be a shape shifter. I would enjoy becoming whomever or whatever I wanted… also leading us back to my obsession with Halloween.
